Tantaswa

Tantaswa Ndlelana- Programme Coordinator:

I was born in Eastern Cape. I joined AEDC and fell in love with the organization because it was formed by women for women. Meaning where there are women you will find love, care, support and warmth. I have been with AEDC since inception as volunteer, doing Admin, Finances and also strategic community engagement, networking and partnership. My passion is in the community development where I meet people with different issues. I became a mentor of young women from different regions and while mentoring these young women, AEDC saw that we need to have Cells (branches) where women need to debrief, share and talk about their challenges. I also joined those women in our communities and walk with them until they have their own leaders in different areas. AEDC is the organization that gives you skills and educate you with information. I’m also learning sewing and knitting skills. I have experience in advocacy, community mobilization, community health and research.

Nolufefe Nelani- Production Coordinator:

I was born and raised in Willow-vale, a small village in the Eastern Cape. As a young mother  and dedicated volunteer at AEDC, I joined the organization in 2022 because it was founded by women, for women – focusing on health, skills development and empowering women to lead. Before becoming the Production Coordinator, I served as the secretary in the KTC Cell where I actively empower young girls and boys by equipping them with skills such as sewing, gardening, beading, knitting ad crochet. My role involved guiding young people, conducting meetings, and providing support wherever needed. Today as the Production Coordinator, I ensure that every production developed by AEDC meets high quality standards. Working with women and young people brings me joy, as it allows me to witness their passion and growth while contributing to the future success of young people.
